Fall is in the air......

You know you're living in Tennessee when you spend your Saturday at the "Touch a Truck" Festival. It sounds strange, but it was a lot of fun for the kids (and us, too)! A local church had arranged for around 40-50 types of trucks (dump trucks, garbage trucks, cement trucks, trailer trucks, trolleys, farm equipment, fire trucks, army trucks, ambulances, etc.) to be in one place at the same time and they let the kids (and adults) climb on them and pretend to drive them. Connor and Spencer's favorites were the fork lift (which they actually got to operate) and the ambulance (where they pretended to "treat" their friend Haddon for a knee problem. Here are a few pictures from the day............

Sgt. Spencer reporting for duty...........

We have been having a blast during the month of October, doing all kinds of fun fall things..............visiting pumpkin patches, going to pumpkin festivals, dressing up in our costumes and carving our pumpkin. We've even been making some fun Halloween crafts at home. This year the boys picked out their own Halloween costumes - Connor chose a St. Bernard (after I steered him away from a somewhat feminine-looking bumble bee) and Spencer chose to be a monkey. Graycen will be riding around in her stroller this year dressed as a caterpillar. Connor and Spencer have really had a fun time acting in character when they wear the costumes. Here are some pictures of our fall activities...............

Trick-or-treating in Historic Downtown Franklin at the annual Pumpkin Festival......

For music class during the week of Halloween, all of the kids wore their costumes to class!
