A Special Day

A few weeks ago, we participated in a dedication ceremony at our church for Graycen. It was a special time for us as we committed to raise Graycen (and her brothers as they were dedicated when they were younger) in a Christ-centered home so that they will know God's love for them and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. All of the grandparents came in for the dedication and to celebrate with us. The doll in the picture above was made for Graycen by her Mimi and is for her to play with in church as she grows up, then untie and use as a handkerchief on her wedding day. Connor, Spencer and Graycen continue to be a blessing and a joy in our lives. God has been so good to us!

This is what I get when I say "Smile"

Snowy Days are Here Again!

Connor, Spencer, Ryan and Cooper took advantage of yet another snow day, gearing up and spending some time making snow angels and working on a snowman...... they had a great time even though the snow was not suitable for making snowmen this time! Meanwhile, Graycen and I stayed cozy inside the house. Here are some pictures of the kiddos......

Rainy Day Blues

Aside from a Valentine's party with some of their friends, the boys, Graycen and I have spent many days in the house due to rainy weather and a couple weeks of a sickness that has made it's way through the family..............Thankfully all but Spencer are feeling much better - he was the last one to become sick and hopefully will be feeling better soon. Graycen is sitting on her own some these days, loving her fruits and veggies and giggling at her big brothers. She is really playing with her toys now, and gets very unhappy if you take one from her!

Graycen received her first flowers from her
biggest admirer, her Daddy, on Valentine's Day!
Here she is opening her first Valentine's gift....
One rainy day we decided to get out our easel, turn some
pillowcases into smocks and paint some masterpieces!

Can you believe it's February, already? Not much new to report on the home front...... Graycen is 7 months old now and almost sitting up. She continues to be a joy with her sweet little spirit. She is eating cereal and vegetables and is loving them.......here are a few pictures of her.

Connor and Spencer are just hilarious these days with their conversations with each other and with us.....I overheard this conversation the other day after they put a talking monkey they have to bed for a nap. Connor: "If he makes anymore noise, we'll have to give him a spanking," followed by Spencer: "Yeah, he better not get out of his bed again!" Wonder where they've heard that before? They love to sing songs, play with their hot wheels and play board games. We are starting to see their competitiveness coming out with the game-playing, though. They are taking a gymnastics class and are having a blast with it. Here are some pictures a friend of Ryan's took of the boys a few months ago......

Happy New Year!!

Is it 2009 already? One of my New Year's resolutions is to update the blog more frequently....I know, I know.... you've heard that one before, but I'll try! Graycen is 6 months old today and Connor and Spencer are doing very well with potty training (see picture below). We had a wonderful Christmas, attending the candlelight Christmas Eve service at our church, then celebrating at home Christmas morning with a birthday party for Jesus and gifts before traveling to Alabama to spend Christmas with my family. Prior to Christmas, we made Christmas cookies, made Christmas tree ornaments, looked at the lights around town and left food for the reindeer on Christmas Eve. We even had enough snow in December to make a snowman!

Practicing our use of the potty.....Spencer was in cowboy character!

Check out this snowman.....he lasted for a couple of hours!

Here's the Latest.....

While I am aware that Graycen will be 5 months old tomorrow, here are some pictures from the past month. She is growing like a little weed......"talking" all of the time and smiling a lot. She is reaching for toys to play with now and enjoys watching her big brothers for entertainment.

Cuddling with her baby doll......

She is almost as big as her brothers' teddy bears.

She enjoys her bath time, especially getting her hair washed.

Here are the boys with their friend Isabelle on Halloween. They had a great time trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and Graycen didn't mind posing as a caterpillar for a few hours.
