This past Sunday, we took a day trip to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky....The kids did great traveling and really enjoyed taking a tour of one of the caves. Connor's favorite thing was the giant cave cricket he saw inside the cave. After the tour, we went to a little park to ride bumper cars and play putt-putt golf.....kids had a blast - didn't quite grasp the concept, but had fun nonetheless!
Mimi and Poppy gave the kiddos each a gardening bag with tools and seeds for Easter. They begged for days until the weather was warm enough to plant their tomatoes and peppers. We had a lot of fun (until Graycen poured an entire pitcher of water on our video camera :) and the boys have been checking everyday looking for signs of growth and watering their plants.
We had a wonderful Easter this year! The kids enjoyed all of the Easter festivities this year, and Graycen was much more into it this year. We went to an egg hunt sponsored by a local church, went to our church's Easter service and had a nice Easter lunch with Gran-Gran. Here are some pictures we took that day....by the way, it's VERY difficult to get a picture with all of the kids smiling and looking at the camera :)
We have a book called "The Night Before St. Patrick's Day" that the boys love. In it, two kids try to catch a leprechaun who visits their house. The kids thought it would be really fun to make traps and try to catch any leprechauns that might come to our house. (We stole the idea for leaving the footprints from Ryan's brother Chris and his family :)) Here are some pictures from the attempt..........better luck next year!
